Air & Fuel Filters

Air & Fuel Filters

FUEL FILTER...the dirt, rust and debris that gets in your gasoline will ruin the fuel injectors and fuel pump if not filtered out.

Your gasoline can become contaminated 3 different ways.

  1. Your gas tank can drop rust particles into your fuel.
  2. The retailer or transporter can contaminate the fuel.
  3. The manufacturers large gas storage tanks can contain biological agents that grow inside your tanks.

Since Ohio does not have fuel quality regulations, the contaminated gas can cost you hundreds of dollars in repairs. Change the fuel filter every 3 years or 36,000 miles.

CABIN AIR FILTER...Not available on all vehicles.

Starting in the 90's many manufacturers equipped their vehicles with passenger compartment air filters to clean air for the passengers. The filter housing is mounted in several different locations including the engine compartment. Ask whether your vehicle contains one. Change it every 2 years or 24,000 miles.

ENGINE AIR FILTER...Traps the dirt particles that can damage the Mass Air sensor, the throttle plates and the engine. Most are mounted in a housing that must be sealed. Change it every 2 years or 24,000 miles.
